"Tinky has had a profound impact on not only my life but the lives of my family. When our 37 year old daughter was in her last days at Hospice and Pallaitive Care, we had the good fortune to meet Tinky and hear her music. Her music provided such comfort and healing, that we asked that she play at my daughter's funeral. Even though she was scheduled out of town that day, she rearranged her schedule in order to play. It still gives me chills to remember her playing "Amazing Grace" and "Somewhere over the Rainbow". Tinky brings comfort and healing to everyone who is fortune enough to hear her music. I witnessed first hand her soothing musical touch with ICU patients at Carolinas Medical Center. Tinky is a gifted, talented caring individual. I am honored to know her."

When my mother in law passed away, her 6 surviving children were pulled in a lot of different directions making sure everything got done (obit in the paper, location of the service, flowers, food, etc).  Sadly, this created a lot of stress (& distress) that seemed to linger, up until the very time of the memorial service.  I’ll never forget the feeling of peace that I experienced when I stepped into the funeral home parlor & heard Tinky’s music. I can’t tell you the names of all the songs Tinky played; I just know that everyone seemed calmer & more relaxed than I had seen them in the past week.  From the beginning of the service to the last sweet notes of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” Tinky helped us all re-focus on what truly mattered; this dear lady & the life she had lived as an example to others.  For that, my husband & I are truly appreciative.”

“As a provider of Death Care Services, traditional funeral, cremation and burial services, I have had the opportunity to use the services of Tinky Timmons for funerals, memorial services and special events such as our Holiday Remembrance Service.  The harp is a very soothing and calming instrument that allows, when played, a time for quiet reflection.  Listening to the music helps our families enjoy the peacefulness.  Visitors to the funeral home find it to be a very nice touch to an otherwise sad event. Tinky Timmons plays the harp with all her heart and soul and she feels the individual situation within her heart and is reflected in the compassion felt by all those who listen to her. Heritage Funeral Homes would highly recommend the services of Tinky Timmons to anyone who has the need to make a special event even more special.”

“On October 12th, 2010 Tinky along with her peace harp came into my mom’s room and the look on my mom’s face was so peaceful that I felt she heard the sounds of heaven.  I know, my heart was deeply touched to know Anjie along with her staff cared enough for their patients to want this beautiful music brought to the rooms.  Not only did this music bring peace to my mom it filled our room with a peace only God could have sent!  My prayer is that this music will be continued and God will continue to Bless you all!  What a great staff you have been to our family and we will never forget you all” … Family of patient at Carolinas Medical Center

“We appreciate Tinky sharing her beautiful music with my mother and my father.  My mother has been unconscious for 19 days.  She opened her eyes when Tinky played.  This has been an encouraging day for our family.  You will be blessed for your generous, sharing kindness.”

"What I can say about it is that it helped to create a healing environment not only for our patients and families but also for our employees who have truly enjoyed it.  It has definitely helped to calm those times that can seem to be rushed and stressful especially in a level 1 trauma center that has over 800 beds.  It always brought smiles to see Tinky when she arrived knowing the difference that she was making for others through her music!"

“As a music teacher for thirty-three years, I have long believed in the power of music to soothe and comfort, so I was intrigued when my friend Tinky Timmons began to work her way through the difficult certification process of the International Therapeautic Harp Program. During that time and through her ongoing efforts, she has grown into a musician of great sensitivity, which is matched by her gentle, loving spirit. This is why, when my 87-year-old father became increasingly ill and bedridden, I asked Tinky for help. She came to his room to play her harp on a number of occasions, both while he was in a rehab facility and later back at his assisted living residence. She chose pieces appropriate for his mental and physical condition, and as she played, her peaceful music filled the room. Each time she came to play, I watched him transition from being fearful and confused into a calm, accepting state. Her music had the same affect on all of us, his family and friends, who were gathered with him. When she played for his memorial service, the notes of "Amazing Grace" flowed into the sanctuary bringing comfort to all present.

Tinky Timmons shares her special talent with modesty and serenity and is a true blessing to all who are touched by her presence. I would be pleased to answer any questions you might have.”

“Tinky has brought her healing harp to the atrium of the Levine Children’s Hospital, to staff meetings, to the Emergency Department waiting room and to patient rooms throughout the hospital.  Everywhere she goes, people begin to breathe a little better, to relax more deeply, to feel better about the challenges they face.  Tinky’s loving presence is embodied through her artful playing in a way that creates healing music.  What a gift she is!”

"I had the pleasure of working with Tinky Timmons at Thompson Child and Family. She volunteered with the Expressive Arts program and was such an asset to the program. Tinky is an incredible Harp Therapist and healer. The children at Thompson's have experienced trauma and it was amazing to see how Tinky used the harp and Touch Drawing to offer healing experiences. You could visibly see the children's body's relax when she played the harp for them. She used Touch Drawing to offer the children a creative avenue to work through their traumatic experiences. Tinky is a truly gifted healer and anyone that has the opportunity to spend time with her benefit greatly from her presence and gift of healing."

“Tinky graciously came over and played her harp on what ended up being the last day of my dear mother's life.  I thought she had already slipped into a coma, she had not spoken all day.  When Tinky finished, my mother said without opening her eyes ‘thank you , that was so beautiful.’

Tinky also played beautifully at my mother's service.  I feel that I now have a beautiful memory that transitioned with my mother from this life to the next.”
